Based in Banagher Co Offaly, Shannonside Sub Aqua Club is a diving club governed by CFT (Comhairle Fo Thuinn) otherwise known as the Irish Underwater Council which in turn is affiliated to the Confederation des Activities Subaquatiques (CMAS).
The clubs main objective is to participate in the recreational sports of scuba and snorkel diving. In addition to recreational diving Shannonside Sub Aqua Club provides on a voluntary basis, a search and recovery service to the local community.
